There’s been a little rumor floating around the store that today is Amanda’s last day. Rachel, however, does not believe it. You have to understand, friends, that Amanda learned to make her first 2L tag the day before the store opened in 2007. She originated the Frothy walks. She purchased the lemonade stand with Rachel. She played with the Converse staff at market in New York. She participated in the original 2L party (which involved an inflatable pool full of t-shirts). She was present for our home-grown 2L in-store holiday photo shoot. She stood by Rachel’s side to open the 10 boxes of baby Converse (mistakes were made). She is the only staff member who has been on filing duty. She watched Rachel get a roller-skating induced concussion outside the store! She dealt with every frustration, every tear, every laugh, every triumph, every season, and every fabulous piece of clothing. So, friends, we refuse to believe the gossip. Amanda will never have a last day.

Exactly one year ago, Ellie punched the 2L clock for the first time! Since then, she’s folded 482

t-shirts, put together 6 fabulous 2L parties, been spotted in 37 local bathrooms via 2L Graffiti ads, scolded Britten and Lauren a combined 23 times, and made our store more beautiful every time she walks through the door.

Last time you saw him, he looked like this, crooning on our lawn for the 2L Easter Egg Hunt. But now….

BRITTEN WORKS HERE!!!

He kind of plays DJ, knows a lot about shoes, and adds the much-needed male opinion to our daily mix. Come visit him and maybe even call him “newbie,” but only for the next week or so….

Early summer can get a little slow and lazy. Luckily, we have Danny to keep us on our toes and remind us that even from NYC, he’s still 2L-clad: Converse by John Varvatos tee and KZO hoodie. Always blog-worthy, slumdog. Always.

He jumped in front of the camera for this brief moment, but our darling Skip Hopkins spent the rest of the evening capturing you in all your prom glory.
